Sheffield is a small rural farming community town located app. 25 kilometres inland from Devonport and 95 kilometres from Launceston on the north-west coast of Tasmania. Sheffield has long been the rural hub for the Mount Roland area where this imposing mountain is a feature in the area and a popular area for bushwalking. As at the 2021 census, Sheffield had a population of ~ 1600 permanent inhabitants.
