A permit is required to stay at the RV Friendly stop Sorell, which is available from the Sorell Council Office, 47 Cole St Sorell. Alternatively, a permit can be obtained on-site using a security deposit box and where you complete a form. Pembroke Park provides potable water and an on-site dump point. The permit must be clearly shown on your vehicle’s dashboard. A rubbish bin provided, and there is a dump point at the Sorell RV Friendly stop. Sorell is a fast growing municipality south east of Hobart, located on the Tasman Highway at the junction with the Arthur Highway and on the way from Hobart to Port Arthur. As at the 2016 census, Sorell had a population of 3000 people. Sorell is a 35-minute drive from Hobart and is a gateway to the Tasman Peninsula and East Coast of Tasmania. Sorell has Woolworths and Coles Supermarkets, petrol options, banking, cafes, a hardware store and many smaller retail outlets. This is a great low-cost RV Friendly area, with barbeques and a dump point and importantly with ample room. This RV Friendly park in Tasmania gets very busy over Christmas, Easter and other major holidays.
